We are excited to announce that some new features have been released on PicConnect, our online platform offering digital services.
The increased hygienic requirements during the Corona pandemic have also fuelled the demand for packaging. At Lindauer DORNIER GmbH this has led to an unprecedented level of incoming orders for film stretching lines. At the K (19 - 26 October in Düsseldorf), the technology leader will therefore focus on spare parts supply and additional services for the newly sold lines.
Since film from DORNIER lines is also being used in increasingly demanded solar panels and electric cars, the company's special focus at the K exhibition (19 - 26 October in Düsseldorf) is on innovations for the production of technical film. At the same time, the energy efficiency of existing lines is becoming more and more important in terms of sustainability. In this context, DORNIER will be presenting its first conversion catalogue for existing lines at the K.
Together with our Swedish agent Ilmakunnas-Engblom, Picanol is present at the Swedish Textile Machine Expo in Borås (Sweden) on October 13 and 14. STM is a hub for sustainable textile production. The Swedish School of Textiles opens its university and its labs to create a forum for the local textile production of the future. We are thrilled to share our latest innovations at the Picanol OptiMax-i Connect machine the university has acquired recently.
INDIA ITME 2022, the global business platform for textile machines, will be held in Exposition Mart Ltd, Noida from December 8 to 13, notwithstanding the difficulties that have been caused by the coronavirus. In spite of the challenges, we are all of the opinion that both the exhibitors and the visitors are going to be satisfied with this activity.

For the first time in years, ITMA Asia (12. - 16.6., Shanghai) will take place again this spring. Lindauer DORNIER is looking forward to the trade fair, which – due to the pandemic – will be held both on-site and in a virtual format. The new DORNIER clip closer opens and closes as if by an invisible hand. The system ensures contactless operation. It is installed in the inlet stand of the transverse stretching machine (TDO) of our film stretching lines.
For more than 10.9 million pupils in the country it is currently: home schooling instead of face-to-face lessons and for the 1.8 million associated school leavers: disorientation instead of career guidance.

Ada Fios is without doubt one of the leading producers of medical gauze fabrics in Europe. Based 30 minutes from the city of Porto, Portugal, it was hit by a devastating fire at the end of June. Unfortunately, one of the most modern mills – not only in Europe but also in the world – which included spinning and weaving machines, was completely destroyed.
