Busi officially opens new training facility

"Busi is proud to inform you that our new training room Gianmario Busi built in honour of Gianmario Busi, beloved brother and father, has recently become operational," explained company managing director Catina Busi. "The area has been conceived in order to provide the best user learning and training experience to all our customers worldwide."

Located at the company's headquarters in Brescia, Italy, the training centre will offer customers and other visitors the opportunity to explore and acquire the key technical skills and expertise on Busi's latest unique technology such as single-cylinder sock-knitting machines with latch needles in the dial. It will also allow clients to deepen and strengthen their knowledge of both hardware (mechanical and electronic parts) and software (Art-Gen and Control Tower) for Busi machines.

Further benefits include the opportunities to improve and increase the operating performances for experienced technicians, and, for less experienced ones, to deal with circular knitting machines which will be located inside the training room.

As most in our industry will be aware, this new generation, Leonardo and Francesco Busi, the two sons of the late Gianmario Busi (working with Catina Busi, their aunt), had their roles within the company somewhat thrust upon them following the tragic passing of their father and their grandfather and company founder, Giovanni Busi, in June 2017.

Both sons have now risen to the challenge, with Leonardo taking on the role of Global Export and Technical Manager and Francesco working on the company's vital software systems. This, coupled with a reorganization of the factory production systems and an extremely healthy order book means the company is in as strong a position as ever. 2019 closed with a turnover of around €5 million with exports accounting for around 95%.

Celebrating its 60-year anniversary in 2018, recent investments and upgrades to the day-to-day operations at Busi Giovanni have laid the foundations for the foreseeable future.
